Troubleshooting Marketing Platform Data in BeProfit

Troubleshooting steps for Marketing Platform Data

Unselected Ad Accounts Appearing in Reports

Some users may notice ad accounts appearing in their BeProfit dashboard reports that they believe were not selected during setup. This typically occurs when an account was initially connected but later deselected in the settings.

Cause of the Issue

When you initially connect a marketing platform (Facebook, Google, TikTok, etc.) to BeProfit, you select which ad accounts to include. If you later modify these selections to remove an account, BeProfit retains the historical data from the previously connected account. This ensures no data loss but can cause confusion when reviewing reports.

How to Identify the Issue

You may notice:
- Ad spend data appearing from accounts you don't recall selecting
- Multiple ad accounts in your reports when you only intended to track specific ones
- Discrepancies between your current account selections and what appears in reports

Complete Resolution Process

To completely remove unwanted ad accounts and their historical data:

1. Navigate to 'Settings'> 'Costs'> 'Marketing Platforms'
2. Locate the marketing platform integration row (Facebook, Google Ads, TikTok, etc.)
3. Click the 'three-dot menu' at the right end of the row
4. Select 'Disconnect'
5. When prompted, click 'Delete Data' to remove all historical data
6. Reconnect your integration by clicking on 'Connect' for that platform
7. During reconnection, carefully select 'only the specific ad accounts' you want to track

Important Notes

- The Delete Data option permanently removes all historical ad data for that platform from BeProfit
- You will need to wait for BeProfit to re-sync your data after reconnection
- This process ensures only your selected accounts will appear in reports going forward
- These steps apply to any marketing platform where you can select multiple accounts (Facebook, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.)

By following these steps, you'll ensure your BeProfit dashboard only displays data from the ad accounts you specifically want to track.
