Understanding Amazon Fees in BeProfit

When you connect your Amazon store to BeProfit, you may notice that some fees such as FBA fulfillment fees, shipping costs, and other Amazon-related expenses do not appear immediately in your reports. This article explains how Amazon fees are synced

Why Aren’t My Amazon Fees Showing Up Right Away?

Amazon only provides fee data (including FBA fulfillment fees and shipping costs) through their API after orders have been fully settled in their system. This settlement process is controlled entirely by Amazon and can take several weeks after the order is placed and fulfilled.

BeProfit Updates Automatically -  As soon as Amazon makes the fee data available, BeProfit will automatically update your orders to include these fees. The timing of when fees appear in BeProfit depends solely on when Amazon releases this information—not on BeProfit’s syncing process.

What Types of Amazon Fees Are Included?

BeProfit automatically pulls and categorizes a wide variety of Amazon fees, such as fulfillment, storage, commissions, shipping chargebacks, and other related expenses. These fees are reflected in your reports as soon as Amazon makes the data available, ensuring you have a comprehensive view of your Amazon costs. You can find these fees displayed in the 'Amazon Fees' section of your BeProfit Dashboard.

What Can I Do While Waiting for Fees to Appear?

You can set estimated fees or create average fee amounts based on what you expect your store to incur. This approach allows you to have some data on hand instead of having none, giving you a clearer perspective on your business performance. However, these estimates should reflect your personal assessment of your store's financial situation.

Common Questions

Q: Are all Amazon fees eventually pulled into BeProfit?
A: Yes, as long as your store remains connected and the orders are fulfilled, BeProfit will update your reports with the actual fees as soon as Amazon releases them.

Q: Why do some orders show fees and others do not?
A: Orders that have been settled and reported by Amazon will show fees. Recent or unsettled orders may not display fees yet because Amazon has not released the data.
