When you accept Viably Growth Capital offer and take funding with Viably, per your agreement, you are required to change your deposit and payout account to your Viably Global Account. Doing so will activate continuous working capital with Viably and centralizes your cash flow view.
To switch your deposit account on Shopify there are several steps you will need to take to reduce the risk of Shopify identifying this charge as unauthorized activity.
🚨We highly recommend making this change at least 5 days (as Shopify's review of your new deposit account may take up to five days) before your next scheduled payment date with Viably. Shopify has very stringent rules around changing your deposit account, to help mitigate risk or fraudulent attempts on your account, so we encourage you to follow the below steps to reduce any flags by Shopify.
Switch your deposit account on Shopify in 3 Steps:
1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Payments.
2. In the Shopify Payments section, click Manage and Change bank account.
3. Verify your old bank account information* to confirm your identity and ensure security. The enter your new, Viably Global Account details and click Save.
*If you can't remember your old bank account information, or are unable to verify it, contact Shopify's customer support for assistance.
Note: Please remember that Shopify states that any changes to your payout or deposit method can take up to 5 business days to process. This means that you payouts could potentially be locked for the duration that it takes for Shopify to verify and process the new account.
Once your Viably account has been successfully verified, that will be listed in the Payments section of your Shopify admin. When this is completed, your funds will then be unlocked within Viably.
