In this article we'll review what data is collected and how your data is kept secure.
Viably only collects and stores essential data when needed to ensure the best delivery of service. Make banking safe and simple with Viably. So what data exactly does Viably collect and store...and how does Viably work to keep your data safe?
Let's review:
What data does Viably collect and store?
In order to provide you with our services, Viably will collect your email address and full name.
Your external bank account information is connected to us through Plaid, a trusted technology platform that specializes in connecting financial accounts to applications, such as Viably.
For your various marketplace connections, each connection is made securely through that platform's API. Your Amazon Seller Account is connected natively through Amazon's Selling Partner API, while your Shopify Store is connected natively through Shopify's API. Other ecommerce platforms (like Walmart) are securely connected through Rutter, a trusted platform to connect small business financial data.
How does Viably keep your data safe?
We take every measure to ensure the security of your financial data. We use the latest technology to offer bank-level security. This includes:
Data Encryption
Data encryption is a security method that changes data into an unreadable form, so that only those who are supposed to have access can read it. All customer data is encrypted both at rest and in transit, using secure encryption algorithms. By using such encryption, all your data is accessible and readable only by you and Viably.
Multi Factor Authentication
In addition for Viably Global accounts, Viably requires each of our users to opt into multi factor authentication, this includes presenting two separate factors in order to log in – such as a password plus a code sent via text or a randomly generated code from an authentication app such as Google Authenticator.
